The IBAF Technical Commission announced the schedule for the second round and the consolation round at the 2011 IBAF 16U Baseball World Championship. Play resumes after the off day on Thursday, cumulating with the bronze medal game and the championship game on Sunday.
Team USA, Mexico, Chinese Taipei and Australia advance into the second round from Group A; Cuba, Venezuela, Japan and the Netherlands from Group B. The second round will be another round-robin format.
The rankings after the 2nd round will be decided based on the results of 3 games played in 2nd round and 3 games of the 1st round played between teams that advanced to the 2nd round. In case of a tie, IBAF Tie Breaker rules will be applied.
The consolation round will be played as a three-game series between Brazil and Indonesia. The Dominican Republic is eliminated from the tournament.
