National Team Staff Positions - National Youth Team and National Provincial Team

The ABF is calling for applications for the following National team staff positions:

 

NATIONAL YOUTH TEAM

 

  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach x 2
  • Pitching Coach
  • Executive Officer

 

NATIONAL PROVINCIAL TEAM (Senior)

 

  • Head Coach
  • Assistant Coach x 2
  • Pitching Coach
  • Executive Officer

 

 

Details of the positions are as follows:

 

National Youth Team

 

Appointment Period: 1 year (will expire October 31, 2010) 

 

Duty Statements: See attached.

 

Remuneration: All positions are honorary, albeit all travel expenses are met.

 

Expected Commitments: Successful applicants will be required to attend the Major League Baseball Australian Academy Program for at least 1 week in June or July (head coach for 2 weeks) and the 2010 AA World Championships in Thunder Bay, Canada (2 weeks approximately) (17 July – August 3).

 

National Provincial Team

 

Appointment Period: 2 years (will expire Octover 31, 2011). 

 

Duty Statements: See attached.

 

 

Remuneration: All positions are honorary, albeit all travel expenses are met.

 

Expected Commitments: Successful applicants must be prepared to travel to the 2010 and 2011 National Provincial Championships (if required) for a few days and attend the 2011 National Provincial team international tour (details yet to be confirmed, but will likely be a 2 – 3 week commitment).  

 

 

Application period: The application period will end 5pm (AEST), Friday 5th of February.

 

Submission requirements: Applicants will be required to submit the following:

 

  • Introductory letter (maximum 1 page) – identifying the position that is being applied for;  
  • Professional work resume (1 page); 
  • Baseball resume (1 page).

All successful applicants should be aware that ABF ratification and subsequent appointment is conditional upon them:

 

    • A) signing a Code of Conduct
    • B) Passing a ‘Working With Children’ check

 

It is anticipated that all appointments will be made by the end of February.
