The Australian Baseball Federation is very pleased to announce the formalisation of the partnership between the Tee-Ball Association of WA (TBAWA), Baseball WA (BWA) and the Australian Baseball Federation (ABF)
TBAWA have run outstanding Tee-Ball programs throughout Western Australia for over thirty years and have been instrumental in the development of a number of Australian baseball stars.
This partnership will see all three organisations working closely together with TBAWA being the primary deliverer of Tee-Ball in WA.
ABF CEO, Brett Pickett, is reassured by the effort and willingness that all three parties have shown to make this a reality, and recognises the partnership to be critically important for the ongoing growth and development of both Tee-Ball and Baseball in Western Australia.
“TBAWA’s contribution to junior sport in WA is remarkable and is highly valued by the greater baseball community. We look forward to a prosperous 2013 Tee-Ball season and the continued growth of Tee-Ball and baseball in WA” said Mr Pickett.
Baseball WA General Manager, Lachlan Dale, is very excited at the prospect of developing further pathways for WA Tee-Ball and Baseball into the future.
"Baseball WA recognises the pivotal role that TBAWA provides to young participants in the WA community. This has opened the doors for many players to go on to future careers in professional baseball and allowed a clear pathway for development of all athletes in our sport."
TBAWA President, Di Mount-Bryson, said the Executive and Committee of the TBAWA are thrilled to come on board as a partner alongside BWA and the ABF.
“As a group of dedicated volunteers the Tee-Ball Association is honoured that the ABF acknowledges the importance of our role by agreeing to us being the primary deliverer of Tee-Ball in WA,” said TBAWA President Di Mount-Bryson.
“Our desire is for the players to see baseball as a natural transition from Tee-Ball and what this partnership does is give players the opportunity for a formal pathway. We will continue to nurture our young players knowing that their future sporting career is in good hands. With TBAWA, BWA and the ABF working together on the same diamond, we now become a complete team.”
The ABF look forward to working closely with BWA and TBAWA in this partnership to ensure a strong foundation for the future success of Tee-Ball and baseball in Western Australia.
